Restorative Radiance :: Solstice Practice

IMG_1883.jpeg

A ritual renewal to help us arrive exactly where we are- let’s embody THIS body so fully it radiates the pure energy of life. The world has been bathed in fear and darkness recently- and needs us to occupy our truest self more than ever.

Truth is always radiant.

Truth is always present.

Join Suzanne to celebrate the solstice- the height of the sun and the turning of the year with a mostly restorative yoga class and meditation designed for the radiant body: the unity of all aspects or ourselves brought to awareness to honor EXACTLY where we are right now.

We will begin with some repetitive, simple but effective movements to stir things up and then move into deep stillness- allowing ourselves space to digest, to pause, to feel that what we have is enough. Woven with poetry and smattering of astrology- this class will leave you plenty of space to simply feel. Getting to simply breathe and be in community with others heals us.

"The Radiant body is like millions of suns that have no center, but everywhere is its center" - Shiv Charan Singh

This class is accessible to all levels- most of the practice will be done on the floor in sustained and supported poses.

Suzanne loves holding space for transformation and ritual. She aims to make yoga accessible and enjoyable, while helping students build focus and strength. She encourages her students to modify the practice to suit their own needs; following the breath and learning to allow the heart to lead the practice.

She has been teaching since 2002 and practicing yoga since she was 14. She trained with Alice Joanou, a Vinyasa teacher in the TKV Desikachar lineage, Leslie Kaminoff of The Breathing Project in New York, Karin Gurtner of Slings in Motion/Art of Motion, Christopher Wallis (Sanskrit/Tantric scholar) and Christopher Tompkins (Tantric scholar).
