asana breath prayer
“Attention is the beginning of devotion”
In every moment we are having a conversation with whatever holds our attention - these conversations with life are the tapestry of our experience.
Whatever we are focused on we are devoted to.
For this reason, yoga instructs us to become diamond-clear in where we place our attention. What does it feel like to have a conversation with your source? What does it feel like to be focused on your essence?
Fall is the time to clear distractions so that we can more reverently steer our attention towards clarity. Our practice invites us to come back into focus.
This class will be yoga woven with prayer and culminating in pranayama and meditation. It is designed to lift your practice by bringing you back into the energy of the heart-linked with the mind. It will bring you into your body and then guide you toward inner alignment- leaving you shimmering with energy.
We will begin with mantra invocation and then move into strengthening sun-salutations and standing poses. We will push the edge, find our limits, and dance in the space of exploring expansion. We will finish our asana class with inversions and back bends.
Following asana we will practice pranayama to clear the subtle energy body leaving us primed and ready to sit in a brief meditation together.
You will hopefully leave centered, and replenished.
This class is not ideal for complete beginners but students with injuries or limitations will be guided in modifications. The virtual class will include a recording if you can’t make the live session.

When life is infused with awareness it becomes a prayer- a conversation had with the divine. Suzanne has been exploring yoga since she was a teenager and has gained more and more respect for its power.
She hopes to provide a space that allows every individual to find a sense of expanding freedom within.
