Breathwork * Mindful Movement * Deep Rest
Using the tools of mindful movement, conscious breathing, and yoga nidra, you will be held in a welcoming space to both feel your inherent strength as well as allow yourself to rest deeply. This series is aimed to help you feel empowered in your pregnancy, balance out the effects of stress, and give you effective tools to aid in your birth.
This series is led by Sam La Bar, a yoga teacher and mother of two littles and a third on the way. She believes that yoga is a revolutionary act of reclaiming ourselves as we are by attuning to our body, breath, mind, and heart and that this process allows us to bring out true selves forth into our homes and community. She was initiated into motherhood at a young age, and she found deep solace in yoga during both of her pregnancies and eventually realized that it was critical to her wellness as a mother. She believes that it is essential for mothers to have space for deep self care and community as they navigate the tumultuous journey of motherhood.

About Samantha: Samantha is a yoga teacher, mother, and photographer who believes that yoga is a revolutionary act of reclaiming ourselves as we are by attuning to our body, breath, mind, and heart. Becoming a mother at a young age changed the course of her life dramatically which led her to the practice of yoga again and again.
Her training includes an 8-month long 200 plus hour yoga teacher training with Suzanne Dunning of Tosha Yoga as well as a 100 hour yoga nidra training with Hilary Jackendoff.
She complimented her education with a postpartum medicinal kitchen apprenticeship with Sophie Ward-Kohen to be able to further support mothers during the sacred postpartum period.
Sam believes that maternal health is the foundation of societal health and therefore aims to facilitate this remembering through yoga, meditation, and community education.
