Evening Strength Flow

Sorry- This event is full. You can sign up for the next one here.

Devote yourself to getting stronger with a month of vigorous practice twice a week either in the studio or at home. We will move, breathe and sweat on Monday and Wednesday nights leaving you stronger and more resilient.

Physical strength carries into all other areas of our life- it makes us more mentally and emotionally fit to meet life’s challenges. It makes life more fun! This class is aimed at getting you strong but in a gradual and enjoyable way. We will flow to music much of the time but with the aim of the focus being on the inner music of the breath.

On Mondays we will focus on the strength and mobility of the arms, shoulders and core and on Wednesdays our focus will be the strength and mobility of the legs, hips and core.

This class is open to all levels but is better suited for folks who have been to a few yoga classes before and know how to pace themselves. The class will be accompanied by music.

Monday and Wednesdays

6:00-7:15

October 26th-November 18th

$100

Space is limited to ensure social distancing but this is one of our larger classes- people will be only six feet apart. Our windows and doors will be open to ensure air flow (weather permitting)- we recommend you bring extra layers for savasana (its Humboldt folks!)

Suzanne aims to make yoga accessible and enjoyable, while helping students build focus and strength. She encourages her students to modify the practice to suit their own needs; following the breath and learning to allow the heart to lead the practice.

She has been teaching since 2002 and practicing yoga since she was 14. She trained with Alice Joanou, a Vinyasa teacher in the TKV Desikachar lineage, Leslie Kaminoff of The Breathing Project in New York, Karin Gurtner of Slings in Motion/Art of Motion, Christopher Wallis (Sanskrit/Tantric scholar) and Christopher Tompkins (Tantric scholar).
