Sundays in November

Sundays are historically rest days… and we need rest days.

We need time ‘outside’ of time.

Step onto your mat and enter the portal- sacred time.

Come home to your true self with a class aimed at helping to renew what has become tired and dull you so that you can return to a radiant, open heart.

We will build heat to burn off stagnation and limitation, but with the equal aim of cultivating ease and an ability to be at peace within ourselves. Modifications are offered to make the class either more gentle or more challenging depending your personal needs and desires.

Suzanne’s teachings draw on the rich traditions of Vinyasa, Kundalini, Yin, Ashtanga, and Iyengar Yoga- incorporating her twenty plus years of study and teaching of various yoga paths all aimed at giving our spirit time to rest in our clear, invigorated body.

Suzanne weaves yoga philosophy and poetry as well as her work with Joanna Macy on Ecological Grief into the class to help us find a place of reverence in the practice.

November 6th-27th

(Excluding the 13th Class on the 13th will be subbed but is not included in the series- drop in only)

Suzanne aims to make yoga accessible and enjoyable, while helping students build focus and strength. She encourages her students to modify the practice to suit their own needs; following the breath and learning to allow the heart to lead the practice.

She has been teaching since 2002 and practicing yoga since she was 14. She trained with Alice Joanou, a Vinyasa teacher in the TKV Desikachar lineage, Leslie Kaminoff of The Breathing Project in New York, Karin Gurtner of Slings in Motion/Art of Motion, Christopher Wallis (Sanskrit/Tantric scholar) and Christopher Tompkins (Tantric scholar) among many others. She has a degree in Integrative Medicine from UC Berkeley.

She is presently obsessed with the grammar of Sanskrit and a new puppy.
