Ali began her yoga journey in college. With a dance and gymnastics background, she was naturally drawn to yoga. After becoming a mom in 2012, she noticed the importance of yoga for her own Mental Health. She began advocating Self-Care for Moms and families, teaching the importance of self-care for a healthy family system. Ali inspires moms to incorporate a daily yoga practice into their busy lives, and encourages them to model self-care for their families.
She teaches Kids Yoga through games and songs. She completed her first Yoga Training in Anusara yoga with Robyn Smith in 2009, and began teaching right away. This gave her a wonderful foundation of alignment and body mechanics for creating fun and safe class. In 2018 she completed a Yoga Psychology program with Ashley Turner, and now incorporates Yoga for Mental-Emotional Health, tools for regulating, and Yoga for Depression and Anxiety. In June 2020 Ali will complete her 300 hour Advanced Yoga Training with Sam Akers, with an emphasis on therapeutics, recovery, ball rolling/self-massage, Restorative Yoga, and Yin Yoga. Ali teaches from a place of playfulness and joy. Her love for the practice radiates through her teaching.
