Authentic Movement

with Sue Durham

Authentic Movement is a form of therapy, wherein one allows oneself to "be moved" by inner impulses while being non-judgmentally witnessed by others. This inner-directed movement provides an embodied bridge from the unconscious to the conscious creating a channel for unfiltered expression. Messages held within the body are revealed, the unconscious is made conscious, and the invisible is made visible. Through this inner-directed movement the body and the psyche are given an authentic voice. While in an Authentic Movement group you are in the presence of people moving towards and expressing their authentic selves. You have the opportunity to truly see others and to truly be seen. It is both extremely simple and very powerful.

Authentic Movement provides a door to the deepest layers of ourselves.
