(NOTE: THE WORKSHOP HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED: Lydia is very sick- the workshop is going to be rescheduled for November- likely the 15th (TBA). If you've already paid your money will be refunded.
We are all so disappointed about this. But life happens. )
Join Lydia Harutoonian for a day to nourish your courage and creativity for the transition to a life sustaining society and the essential adventure of our time. The event is based on Joanna Macy's Work That Reconnects.
Drawing from deep ecology, systems theory and spiritual traditions, the Work That Reconnects (WTR) builds motivation, creativity, courage and solidarity for the transition to a sustainable human culture. First emerging in 1978, this pioneering, open-source body of work has its roots in the teachings and experiential methods of Joanna Macy.
The Work That Reconnects has inspired thousands of people to take heart and work together for the sake of life on Earth, despite rapidly worsening social and ecological conditions. Through experiential exercises we will build the inner muscles necessary to face the crisis' that are happening on our planet, learning how to keep our hearts alive and strong.

About Lydia:
Lydia is a dedicated student of Joanna Macy’s and the WTR. She began this work seven years ago after meeting Joanna at the California Institute of Integral Studies where she recently received her Masters degree in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness. She has facilitated the WTR in many different locations such as the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, the Dine reservation in New Mexico, Bali, and all around the Bay Area. She is also a proficient musician, sharing both her violin and vocal skills to bring in medicinal music for our times. She recently created and co-facilitated a workshop at the Regenerative Design Institute in Bolinas in collaboration with Rising Appalachia and Penny Livingston, bringing together the power of the Work That Reconnects, music that is medicinal for the soul, and re-connection to the wild. Lydia currently tours with Ayla Nereo and is also studying depth psychotherapy at Pacifica Graduate Institute, deepening her work in ecopsychology and archetypal psychology.
“I have great confidence in Lydia Harutoonian as a facilitator of the Work That Reconnects, and am delighted that she is bringing her many gifts to helping people find their strength in addressing the global crises of our time. Having known her both as a student and a colleague in this work, I can testify to her acuity of mind, moral strength, and depth of intuitive wisdom. It has been a joy to have her accompany me and support me in workshops and public events, where her violin has provided a spontaneous deepening of experience to all, as has her capacity for keen and genuine presence. I know that the same rare qualities pervade the group work she conducts on her own.” - Joanna Macy, Ph.D
